NCAA championship meets are in full swing. Here's a look at the top 10 NCAA DI women's track and field performances that have shaped the season to this point.
Kaylyn Brown | Arkansas
Kaylyn Brown ran 49.95 in the 400 meters out of Lane 9. Lane 9! That made her the second-fastest freshman in collegiate history behind only Athing Mu. Brown's since become the fastest freshman and fourth-fastest woman ever.

Winning time of 49.95 is 2024 outdoor world leader
Brown ranks No. 7 on collegiate all-time list, No. 2 on UA all-time list 🐗
Doris Lemngole | Alabama
A freshman ran the second-fastest steeplechase in NCAA history. You read that right. Doris Lemngole ran 9:22.31 — in April.
McKenzie Long | Ole Miss
The No. 5 performer in collegiate history and sixth-fastest all-time 200-meter race belongs to McKenzie Long. She stepped up big time at the SEC Championships with her 22.03-second finish.

Nickisha Pryce | Arkansas
I won't reach some and say winning an SEC championship is as hard as winning an NCAA meet, but it isn't easy. It's especially not easy when athletes like Nickisha Pryce are running 49.32 in the 400 meters — the third-fastest time in collegiate history.

[No. 3 British a-t]

Maia Ramsden | Harvard
In between the final conference championship week and NCAA first round competition, Maia Ramsden headed to the USATF LA Grand Prix. There she ran a New Zealand 1500 meter national record in 4:02.58, the second-best time in NCAA history.

Michaela Rose | LSU
You could pick Michaela Rose's best outdoor 800-meter race as one of the top performances of the season and it wouldn't be a problem. However, I'll go with her collegiate record set in the 600 meters instead.
The women’s 600m collegiate record is now owned by the one and only, Michaela Rose. 🌹

Jaida Ross | Oregon
Eenie-Meenie-Minie-Mo. That's what it's like trying to pick which of Jaida Ross' collegiate record throws should get the nod here. Ross threw 19.71 meters for the first time at the Triton Invite to set the newest collegiate record, only to replicate the throw at the Desert Heat Classic to tie the record she set.
When it comes to which performance was better, I'll go with the latter performance because she threw over 19 meters four times during her six attempts. One of my favorite videographers in track and field Anderson Bobo captured the moment beautifully.
The greatest shot put series in ncaa history.

Jacious Sears | Tennessee
Jacious Sears ran the second-fastest women's 100-meter time in NCAA history when she finished in 10.77 seconds at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational. Only current 100 meter World Champion Sha'Carri Richardson has ever run faster collegiately.
Parker Valby | Florida
Collegiate records and Parker Valby seem to go hand-in-hand this season. Valby ran the 10,000 meter collegiate record in 30:50.43.
