The Purple Panthers have taken down the No. 1 ranked Panthers, 1-0.
High Point (8-2-2, 4-0 Big South) extends its winning streak to eight, as Pittsburgh drops its second consecutive game. The Panthers fell to Cal on Friday in the Golden Bears' first-ever ACC victory.
Before Oct. 11, Pitt was 10-1, outscoring its opponents 18-1 in its previous five matches. In the Panther's last two matches, they have failed to find the back of the net, losing 1-0 in each game.
Pitt only had two shots on goal the entire night, compared to High Point's five.

The night's only goal was scored by High Point's Frankie DeFrancesco, who leaped over top of the Pitt defender to convert a wild header goal.
