1. UCLA (Previously 1)
The only undefeated team left in the top 5 of this week's Power 10, the Bruins continue to look dominant after a 51-point win against Long Beach State.
2. South Carolina (Previously 3)
With four ranked wins already, the Gamecocks move up to the two-spot considering their only loss of the year was to the Bruins.
3. Notre Dame (Previously 7)
Notre Dame secured its third top-5 win on Dec. 12 against UConnβ¦and it's only December.
Itβs safe to say that the Fighting Irish have left their back-to-back losses in the Cayman Islands. Hannah Hidalgo has played out of her mind, recording a near triple-double versus the Huskies and sheβs looking like the current favorite for Player of the Year so far.
4. UConn (Previously 2)
The Huskies suffered its first loss of the season to Notre Dame, and we learned that they will need more contributions in the backcourt consistently outside of Paige Bueckers. Azzi Fudd is currently day-to-day dealing with a sprained right knee that sidelined her in the matchup versus the Fighting Irish.
5. Southern California (Previously 4)
The Trojans have been on a six-game winning streak since falling to Notre Dame, and they now have a huge opportunity in front of them facing UConn on Dec. 21.
Paige Bueckers vs. Juju Watkins.
6. LSU (Previously 5)
LSU cruised throughout this past week's slate of games, beating Grambling and Louisiana-Lafayette by a combined 74 points.
7. Maryland (Previously 6)
The Terrapins are still undefeated after no games last week. They welcome in William & Mary on Dec. 19.
8. Texas (Previously 8)
Texas got into a low-scoring battle with Richmond, as neither team scored over 20 points in any quarter. Even in the Longhorns' lowest-scoring performance of this season, Madison Booker had arguably her best game of the year, dropping 25 points and 11 rebounds in Texas' 65-54 win.
9. Duke (Previously 9)
No games this week for the Blue Devils. They return to the hardwood on Dec. 18 to face Wofford.
10. Oklahoma (Previously 10)
The Sooners are ready for their third-ranked matchup of the year on Dec. 17 where they face Michigan.
