No. 10 Notre Dame outlasts No. 4 Texas in OT, 80-70
Notre Dame pulled away in overtime, outscoring Texas 12-2 in the extra period to secure a 10-point win over the undefeated Longhorns.
It was a close game throughout, with neither team holding a double-digit lead until the Irish in overtime. Texas trailed 39-34 at the break, and Notre Dame tried to pull away in the third quarter, holding a nine-point lead. But the Longhorns clawed right back in, pulling back within five heading into the fourth.
The fourth was an absolute battle with four lead changes and five ties before overtime. The Irish held a 66-64 lead with under 15 seconds to play, but Texas guard Rori Harmon nailed a pull-up jumper to tie the game with seven seconds to play.

But the Irish were not done, as Olivia Miles barreled to the rim, converting a contested layup with two seconds to play to take back the lead.

Notre Dame mistakenly committed a personal foul on the Longhorns inbound, sending Harmon to the foul line where she came through in the clutch again, knocking down both free throws and forcing overtime.
Texas went cold in overtime as the Irish's home crowd got behind their team. Standout guard Hannah Hidalgo led the game with 30 points, going an impressive 11-20 from the field.
Notre Dame (6-2) will go on the road to Syracuse on Sunday, and Texas (7-1) will try to bounce back against James Madison.
