A new week brings a new set of Power 10 rankings in DI women's college basketball. South Carolina remains on top, and Utah's fall opens room for Baylor to join the list. Here's where we stand in week six of the season.
- South Carolina (1) - The Gamecocks have been battled-tested early and have answered every challenge, picking up their FOURTH ranked win. South Carolina will be more than ready come Marchโฆand I donโt see anyone shaking this team.
- UCLA (2) - UCLA scored 206 points across two games this past week. Lauren Betts scored 22 points and had 18 rebounds in UCLA's dominant win over a ranked Florida State squad on Saturday.
- NC State (3) - The Wolfpack handled business in its lone game this week, beating Liberty 80-67. Five different players scored in double figures in the win.
- Southern California (4) - USC cruised through an in-state matchup with UC Riverside. Juju Watkins continued her unbelievable season, scoring 27 points in 28 minutes on Sunday.
- LSU (5) - Angel Reese is back to her dominant ways for the Tigers. In her second game back she scored 20 points to help lead LSU to a 30-point win over Louisiana Lafayette Sunday.
- Iowa (6) - Iowa was relatively unfazed in two road rivalry games this week. Caitlin Clark scored a combined 63 points in the Hawkeyes' two wins over Iowa State and Wisconsin.
- Colorado (7) - No trouble for the up-start Buffs this week as they moved to 9-1 following Tuesday's 21-point win over UT Arlington. JaQuaya Miller notched a double-double in the win.
- Texas (8) - The Longhorns surpassed 100 points for the fourth time this season, beating Long Beach State 106-62. Thirteen players entered the game for Vic Schaefer's team, and all 13 scored.
- Stanford (9) - No action for Stanford last week keeps them parked at No. 9. The Cardinal will take on Portland at home on Friday.
- Baylor (NR) - Head coach Nicki Collen has led this team to an undefeated record to open up the season, including a ranked win over Utah and recently Oregon by 20pts. Dre Edwards and Sarah Andrews have been a dynamic 1-2 punch.
Utahโs loss to South Carolina drops this team out for now, but credit to Alissa Pilli for putting up 37 points vs South Carolina.
The Utes sit outside my P10 bubbleโฆalong with VA Tech and Notre Dame.
