Texas basketball released a statement from sophomore guard Andrew Jones, who was diagnosed with leukemia in January, announcing he's been released from his hospital in Houston.
Jones was signed out of MD Anderson Cancer Center Saturday evening and will now begin treatment as an outpatient. In Monday's update, Jones said, "My doctors tell me I am continuing to show improvement, and that is really encouraging."

Since his diagnosis was announced, Jones has received an outpour of support from around college basketball. A handful of other Big 12 programs have honored him with special warm-up shirts, , who play the Longhorns Monday night.
