Trae Young explodes for 26 points, 22 dimes

Just when we thought Trae Young had done it all, he goes and pulls this.

The freshman sensation recorded 26 points and 22 assists in Oklahoma’s blowout victory over Northwestern State. Young tied the NCAA single-game assist record, and also accomplished something nobody has in 20 years:

Wow. Young was averaging 28.8 points and 8.9 assists coming into the game and riding high off of an upset win over then-No. 3 Wichita State.

We know that he’s a phenomenal shooter and scorer. But on Tuesday night, he showed that his passing ability might be his best skill of all, which is crazy to think about given all of his other miraculous talents.
