The committee considered several criteria to determine their rankings, with an emphasis on head-to-head results, top-10 wins, and strength of schedule.

The 2024 DI women's volleyball semifinals and championship match will be held on Dec. 19 and 22 at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The first semifinal match is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, Dec. 19 on ESPN. The second semifinal match will follow 30 minutes after the first match concludes, also on ESPN. The national championship match will then be played at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, Dec. 22 on ABC.

The reveal is based on the criteria used to select and seed the 64 teams for the volleyball championship. It includes strength of schedule, Rating Percentage Index, head-to-head competition, results versus common opponents, significant wins and losses and locations of contests. Input is also provided by the regional advisory committees for consideration by the Division I women’s volleyball committee.
