With six seconds left in their final regular season game of the year, Stony Brook trailed Maine 19-14 and had the ball on the 31-yard line. At 8-2 on the year, the Seawolves needed a miracle to pull out the win and keep their hopes of a top eight seed (and the bye that comes with it) in the FCS playoffs alive.
Enter: Miracle.
Junior quarterback Joe Carbone โ who was 10-for-33 on the day at the time โ launched a prayer to the endzone, and somehow, someway, Stony Brook receiver Harrison Jackson came down with the ball.
