Nebraska helps military dad surprise family at spring game

Staff sergeant Matthew Hawke turned his return from Afghanistan after 10 months into a family surprise with the help of Nebraska football before its spring game on Saturday afternoon in Lincoln.

Dressed as a player — pads and all — Hawke ran out onto the field with the Huskers and walked to midfield to take part in the coin toss. There, a few feet away, stood Hawke's family, which was invited to be the honorary coin toss officials for the game. Take a look at what follows below:
