With conference play underway, krikya18.com correspondent Autumn Johnson broke down her eighth Power 10 rankings of the season.
1. UCLA (Previously 1)
The Bruins ended 2024 undefeated and guard Kiki Rice notched her 1,000th career point versus Nebraska.
2. South Carolina (Previously 2)
The Gamecocks continue to look strong, currently rolling with a seven-game winning streak.
3. Notre Dame (Previously 3)
Can we go ahead and crown guard Olivia Miles as the triple-double queen?
These are NOT easy to come by, yet Miles became the first ACC player to record back-to-back triple-doubles.
4. Southern California (Previously 4)
Southern California has picked up back-to-back ranked wins, stunning UConn on the road and beating Michigan by 20 points to end the year on a high note.
5. UConn (Previously 5)
The Huskies bounced back from their loss to Southern Cal with a 26-point win over Wofford, and it looks like guard Azzi Fudd is fully back with 24 minutes of action last game.
6. LSU (Previously 6)
LSU was nearly shocked by Albany in its last matchup before the new year, but the Tigers' offensive explosion in the fourth quarter helped them remain perfect heading into SEC play.
7. Maryland (Previously 7)
The Terrapins escaped an upset against Michigan State in a close conference game to secure their second-ranked win of the year.
8 & 9. Texas and Oklahoma (Previously 8 & 9)
Texas has gone six games without facing a ranked opponent, but a big ranking implication game with its former SEC foe, Oklahoma, is coming up. Stay tuned for the classic battle of the Red River Rivalry.
10. Ohio State (Previously 10)
The Buckeyes ended the year 13-0 and undefeated in conference play with a win over Rutgers.
