WATCH: Jones is still getting shots up despite battling cancer

Texas guard Andrew Jones was diagnosed with leukemia in January, much to the horror of the college basketball world. But Jones’ status is steadily improving, and on Wednesday, he posted a video of himself getting some shots up.

Take a look:

However limited, this is awesome. Texas has been honoring Jones with patches that read AJ1 — his initials and his jersey number — on its uniforms. The Longhorn community has rallied together to support one of its own.

Hopefully, Jones can win his battle with cancer. Even if this is bigger than basketball, the game clearly means a lot to him.
