The 2024 USATF Indoor Championships are in the books! Here's how the NCAA track and field athletes in attendance performed with a shot at an American title.
USC star wins gold in the long jump
Southern California's Johnny Brackins won the USATF Indoor Championship gold medal in the long jump in thrilling fashion. Brackins hadn't cleared eight meters in any of his first five jumps and entered his final attempt eight overall. However, Brackins saved his best for last, jumping a new personal-best 8.23 meters to win the gold as the youngest man in the field.
Brackins' win came one day after he finished 10th in the 60 meter hurdles in 7.66 seconds.

USC standout hurdles to silver medal
Southern California's Jasmine Jones had an excellent day in the 60 meter hurdles. She finished third in the first round after running a personal-best 7.82 seconds, . Then in the final round, Jasmine Jones blazed across the hurdles to a silver medal finish in 7.78 seconds, the fastest time in the NCAA this year.

BYU standout earns bronze in high jump
BYU's Cierra Tidwell-Allphin finished third in the high jump after clearing 1.85 meters. She cleared the mark on her second attempt after the clearing the three prior heights in one attempt each. The third-place finish earned Tidwell-Allphin her first US Championship medal.
