Wis.-La Crosse men, Loras women win the 2024 DIII indoor track and field championships

Wisconsin-La Crosse wins the 2024 DIII men's indoor track & field championship

The Wisconsin-La Crosse men's and Loras College women's indoor track and field teams came out triumphant at the 2024 NCAA Division III indoor track and field championships. Both teams celebrated at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia, hosted by Norfolk State.

The Wisconsin-La Crosse men's program claimed another title this year after coming out on top in last year's championships. The team placed fourth after the first day of events but came out on top to grab the title with 74 points. 

Loras College women's team held on to first place throughout the two-day competition. They won the title with 51 points after nabbing two first-place finishes in the first day of events.

2024 DIII indoor track and field championship qualifiers

Here is the selection information for the 2024 DIII NCAA men's and women's indoor track and field championships:

  • Qualification to the championships is based on the descending-order list for the season and adhering to the qualifying regulations/criteria.
    • For each men’s individual event contested, including the heptathlon, the top 20 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition.
    • For each woman’s individual event contested, including the pentathlon, the top 20 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition.
    • For each relay event contested, the top 12 declared relay teams were accepted into the competition.
