๐Ÿงน Sooners sweep the series | Final: OU 9, UT 8

Oklahoma's Ella Parker

No. 4 Oklahoma (42-5, 16-5 SEC) sweeps No. 3 Texas (42-9, 13-8 SEC) in the Red River Rivalry.

The Sooners dominated the first three innings of Game 3, hitting two home runs in the first two innings to take an early 5-0 lead. They added three more runs in the third to put the pressure on the Longhorns with an 8-0 deficit.

But a six-run Texas rally in the top of the fourth inning cut the lead to just two after Oklahoma starting pitcher Bella Smith was replaced. The Longhorns then chased three more pitchers before Game 1 winner Sam Landry came in for the Sooners.

Landry gave up two runs when Texas' Katie Stewart homered in the top of the fifth to tie the game at eight, but Landry shut the door from there on out. A sac fly in the bottom of the sixth gave the Sooners a late one-run lead, and Landry held on in the top of the seventh to complete the sweep in the Red River Rivalry series.
