Notre Dame claims second-straight DI men's lacrosse national championship
🏆 Notre Dame wins second-straight national championship
Notre Dame dominated the 2024 DI men's lacrosse national championship with a 15-5 win to claim their second-straight national title. The only two titles in the program's history. The Irish finished the year 16-1 and became the first team to win back-to-back championships in consecutive years since Duke (2014-15).

First quarter: Fighting Irish not missing a beat: ND 5, MD 3
The long-anticipated first quarter was worth the wait. The Terps managed a brief 2-0 lead before the Irish responded with a 5-1 blitz to go up 5-3. Still plenty of time for Maryland to answer.

*After the 1990 championship, the krikya18.committee on Infractions determined that Paul Gait had played in the 1990 championship while ineligible. Under NCAA rules, Syracuse and Paul Gait's records for that championship were vacated. The NCAA does not recognize Syracuse and coach Roy Simmons Jr.'s 3-0 record, and Paul Gait's 7 goals, 7 assists and his participation in that championship.
