We are tracking all the remaining undefeated teams in DI women's volleyball for the 2025 season. There are still two undefeated. Mississippi State was handed its first loss on Sunday, Sept. 28.
Since 1981, there have been only four programs — five teams — to finish a season undefeated and win a national title: Penn State (2008, 2009), Southern California (2003), Nebraska (2000) and Long Beach State (1998).

Penn State holds the longest win streak in DI women's volleyball history with 109 match victories from 2007-10, with the Nittany Lions winning four consecutive titles (2007 through 2010). The 2009 title team is the most recent undefeated champion.

Undefeated DI women's volleyball teams in 2025
- No. 1 Nebraska (12-0): The Huskers' started conference play with two sweeps over Michigan and Maryland. Their 12-0 record is their best start since winning their first 27 matches in 2023. Next: at. Penn State on Friday, Oct. 3.
- No. 2 Texas (11-0): Texas secured its sixth-straight sweep with a win over Georgia on Wednesday. The Longhorns are now 11-0 for the first time since starting 14-0 in 2022. Next: at Mississippi State on Sunday, Oct. 5.
