We are tracking all the remaining undefeated teams in DI women's volleyball for the 2025 season. There are still two undefeated.
Since 1981, there have been only four programs — five teams — to finish a season undefeated and win a national title: Penn State (2008, 2009), Southern California (2003), Nebraska (2000) and Long Beach State (1998).

Penn State holds the longest win streak in DI women's volleyball history with 109 match victories from 2007-10, with the Nittany Lions winning four consecutive titles (2007 through 2010). The 2009 title team is the most recent undefeated champion.

Undefeated DI women's volleyball teams in 2025
- No. 1 Nebraska (14-0): The Huskers' started conference play with four sweeps over Big Ten foes, most recently over defending national champions, Penn State, and Rutgers this past weekend. Their 14-0 record is their best start since winning their first 27 matches in 2023. Next: vs. Washington on Friday, Oct. 10.
- No. 2 Texas (13-0): Texas edged out a five-set victory over Tennessee on Oct. 8, ending their seven-game sweep streak, but remaining perfect. The Longhorns are now 13-0 for the first time since starting 14-0 in 2022. Next: at Alabama on Sunday, Oct. 12.
