We are tracking all the remaining undefeated teams in DI women's volleyball for the 2025 season. There are seven still undefeated as of Tuesday, Sept. 23.
Since 1981, there have been only four programs — five teams — to finish a season and win a national title: Penn State (2008, 2009), Southern California (2003), Nebraska (2000) and Long Beach State (1998).

Penn State holds the longest win streak in DI women's volleyball history with 109 match victories from 2007-10, with the Nittany Lions winning four consecutive titles (2007 through 2010). The 2009 title team is the most recent undefeated champion.

Undefeated DI women's volleyball teams in 2025
- No. 1 Nebraska (10-0): The Huskers' challenging nonconference schedule included wins against Pitt, Stanford, Kentucky and Creighton. Nebraska started a season 10-0 for the third time since joining the Big Ten in 2011. Next: vs. Michigan on Wednesday, Sept. 24
- No. 2 Texas (8-0): Texas boasts five top-10 victories in nonconference play to start the season. The Longhorns are coming off three consecutive home sweeps against ranked opponents.
Next: vs. Vanderbilt on Wednesday, Sept. 24. - No. 14 BYU (12-0): BYU sails unscathed with its fifth-best record in program history to start a season, earning a notable sweep against a then-No. 16 Southern California team in the process. Next: vs. Colorado on Thursday, Sept. 25
- West Virginia (12-0): Though the Mountaineers do not have any ranked wins, they have posted seven straight sweeps. Next: at Cincinnati on Saturday, Sept. 27
- Clemson (12-0): The Tigers' 12-match win streak is their sixth such opening to a season in program history, while their 9-0 home record is their best start since 1999. Clemson owns wins against SEC foes Georgia and South Carolina. Next: vs. Florida State on Friday, Sept. 26
- Michigan State (10-0): Michigan State's 10-0 record marks the program's best opening since 2012, when the Spartans advanced to the regional semifinals. This is Michigan State's fourth time ever with such a start. Next: at No. 12 Minnesota on Thursday, Sept. 25
- Hofstra (9-0): For the second time in program history, the Pride began the year perfect with nine in the win column. Hofstra's hot start included sweeps against UNC Wilmington, FDU and Binghamton. Next: at Charleston on Friday, Sept. 26.
