NCAA Division III football championship bracket announced

DIII football: 2025 selection show

INDIANAPOLIS β€” The NCAA Division III Football Committee announced today the field of 40 teams for the 2025 NCAA Division III Football Championship. Teams were selected based on conference results and NCAA Power Index (NPI).

Twenty-seven conferences received automatic-qualifying berths. The remaining 13 at-large berths were awarded to teams from the institutions that did not win an automatic berth.

The first round of the championship will be played Nov. 22 at the host institution's campus or at an alternate site approved by the football committee. The 52nd Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl, the national championship game, will be played Sunday, Jan. 4, at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, in Canton, Ohio. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

All games start at noon local time.

In the 2025 championship game, North Central (IL) defeated Mount Union 41-25, to claim their third
national championship.
