In the first year of its program, Jacksonville State captures the 2024 NC bowling national championship. The Gamecocks beat Arkansas State 4-3 in Saturday night’s best-of-seven championship match.
Head coach Shannon O’Keefe hoists the NCAA’s top prize for the third time in her career, her previous two wins coming at McKendree in 2017 and 2022. For Jax State, it marks the school's first team national title outside of the Division II level. Its previous national titles in football, baseball and basketball all came at the Division II level.
The 2024 NC bowling championship selections were announced via a selection show on March 27 ahead of regional matches in early April. The championships took place on April 12 and April 13 from Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Michigan.
