The best players in women's volleyball, matched up in East vs. West All-Star teams

NCAA volleyball East and West All-Star teams

Let’s break down my 2025 college volleyball East and West all-star teams. I split up the teams by drawing a line on the right side border of Nebraska, Kansas and Texas and picked two outsides, a right side, two middles, a setter and libero from each side.

East team

OH: Brooklyn DeLeye, Kentucky
OH: Flormarie Heredia Colon, Miami (Fla.)
RS: Olivia Babcock, Pitt
MB: Cara Cresse, Louisville
MB: Carter Booth, Wisconsin
S: Brooke Mosher, Pitt
L: Maya Sands, Missouri

The East is stacked with outsides. Try choosing between Eva Hudson and Brooklyn DeLeye, Flormarie Heredia Colon and Mimi Colyer.

🏆 WHO'S ON TOP?: Women's volleyball Week 10 Power 10

I ended up picking Brooklyn DeLeye and Flormarie Heredia Colon here. Might as well have flipped a coin to choose between DeLeye and Hudson, though. They are both absolutely incredible, and I could have chosen both. But I went with DeLeye here. She's got over 5 points per set — and over 40 aces on the season which is added value, too.

And how can you deny the NCAA points leader, Heredia Colon puts up jaw-dropping numbers that are hard to believe. She's a lethal server and a dominating presence. ;

On the right side, here is the difference-maker. Olivia Babcock is absolutely automatic and the front-runner again for AVCA's National Player of the Year. Babcock has 45-kill performances against top-10 teams. She is just special. I still want to shout out Kennedy Martin at Penn State, who is also up there. It's unfortunate these two fall on the same side.

In the middle, I have Louisville’s Cara Cresse. One the best blockers in the country, and an efficient attacker with a big load this year. For the second middle on the East, I went back and forth between Carter Booth and Bre Kelley. They are both fantastic middles. I can go either way, but I ended up picking Booth, who is hitting over .400 on the year.

My setter was a tough choice because I had a lot of options: Nayelis Cabello at Louisville, Teodora Kričković at Indiana, Taylor Anderson at Purdue. There might be some different opinions here but I went with Brooke Mosher at Pitt. I love how she plays, and makes a difference outside of just setting. She got quite an arm and quite the serve.

My libero was a pretty easy choice. Not many rival Maya Sands at Missouri with 4.67 digs per set while passing almost 64% in system. That is unbelievably good.

West team

OH: Harper Murray, Nebraska
OH: Torrey Stafford, Texas
RS: Logan Lednicky, Texas A&M
MB: Andi Jackson, Nebraska
MB: Ifenna Cos-Okpalla, Texas A&M
S: Bergen Reilly, Nebraska
L: Emma Halter, Texas

It was very hard to leave Elia Rubin at Stanford off of this, but I had to go with Harper Murray and Torrey Stafford for my outsides. They both have that "it" factor and ability to dominate in the biggest of moments.

📈KEEP TRACK: The remaining undefeated team in women's volleyball

On the right side, I have Logan Lednicky at Texas A&M. She's one of the best right sides in the country with just crazy shot selection.

In the middle, I went with Ifenna Cos-Okpalla at Texas A&M and Nebraska’s Andi Jackson. Cos-Okpalla is top five in the country in blocks per set. Jackson dominates in all aspects of the game, an incredible offensive middle and is still heating up.

For my setter, I felt the choice was obvious with Bergen Reilly at Nebraska. She's setting her team this year to a .339 hitting efficiency.

And at libero, I went with Texas’ Emma Halter. A leader, so gritty defensively, can get to any ball and her passing has been so strong this season.
