The Buckeyes kept it close despite the raucous crowd at Mackey Arena and Jae'Sean Tate looked to close out the game but missed the layup on a drive. Luckily, Bates-Diop was there for a timely tip with less than four seconds left.
Purdue's Isaac Haas would miss the final shot at the buzzer following a full-court pass, clinching OSU's third straight win since a buzzer-beating loss to Penn State.
