Florida's Chiozza steals the winning bucket vs. Missouri

Chris Chiozza’s got a thing for drama, and apparently he doesn’t just save it for March.

On Saturday, with his Gators tied up at Missouri and the second half drawing to a close, he decided to flip the typical endgame script on its head with a defense-into-offense play for the win:

Teams are often scared to be too aggressive on the final play of the game for fear of being whistled for a foul. Instead, Chiozza played this one perfectly: he saw a telegraphed pass coming, cut into the lane, and kept his composure on his way down the floor for two easy points.

That Chiozza was held scoreless in the first half makes his winner all the more remarkable; he scored all 13 of his points in the second half to help Florida overcome a one-point halftime deficit that, with under eight minutes to play, had ballooned to nine.

Oh, and the steal? It was Chiozza's first of the game.

Just another notch in the senior's legend as a player who knows what to do in the clutch.
