College football Week 3: Scores, highlights, recaps and more
βοΈ Sunday morning rundown
College football Saturday night delivered once again. Here is a quick recap of the late-night action in case you missed it:
No. 16 Texas A&M stuns No. 8 Notre Dame
The Aggies wrapped up a Saturday of thrilling finishes, knocking off the Irish 41-40 with a late go-ahead touchdown in South Bend. Notre Dame scored with 2:53 to play, but a botched extra point attempt left the Irish up only six as they kicked back to TAMU.
Aggie quarterback Marcel Reed drive the field, but Notre Dame made a stand in the red zone, forcing 4th and goal from the 11-yard line. But Reed found his big tight end, Nate Boerkircher, for six before the Aggies drilled the game-winning PAT.

No. 3 LSU stifles a tumbling Florida
It looks like Brian Kelly has finally built a defense in Baton Rouge. After holding Clemson to 10 points in Week 1, the Tiger defense once again put on a show, picking off Florida quarterback DJ Lagway five times in the 20-10 win. The LSU offense did enough to support its red-hot defense as the Tigers are off to a 3-0 start for the first time since their 2019 national championship season.
Vanderbilt takes advantage of an injured No. 11 South Carolina
The Commodores took care of the Gamecocks 31-7 after quarterback LaNorris Sellers was hurt at the end of the first half. This was Vandy's first win over South Carolina since 2008, snapping a 16-game losing streak.

Georgia Tech continues its strong start with a statement win over preseason ACC frontrunner Clemson, 24-21. The Yellow Jackets have their first 3-0 start since 2016 as they took down the No. 12 Tigers on a walk-off field goal. Clemson falls to 1-2 for the first time since 2014 as the Tigers' playoff hopes are quickly fading.

π€© Afternoon window FULL of overtime finishes
We heard you like overtime. Well, if Georgia vs. Tennessee wasnβt enough for you, here are two more OT finishes from the afternoon slate:
The Backyard Brawl was a tight one for most of the afternoon with neither team pulling away in the first half. WVU took a 7-3 lead into the locker room at halftime, and the Mountaineers added another TD in the third quarter. Pittβs offense woke up in the third, tying it up and taking a 17-14 lead early in the fourth quarter. The Panthers added another score to make it a 10-point game, but West Virginia stormed back late in the fourth, tying the game with 11 seconds to go in regulation after a 13 play, 87-yard touchdown drive.

This was another fun one. Neither team could pull away all afternoon, with the biggest lead for either side being four points. FBS newcomer Delaware took a 28-24 lead into the half, but the Huskies pulled ahead in the fourth quarter, 38-35. A last-second field goal by Delaware tied it at 38, so we would need extra time.
UConn got the ball to start the extra frame but could only muster a field goal. Then the Blue Hens got their chance, and QB Nick Minicucci found a lane, rushing for a 13-yard touchdown to win it for Delaware.

What. A. Game. In a rivalry full of iconic finishes, this one was an instant classic. Tennessee came out of the gate hot, as Joey Aguilar ran it in for six to cap off a two-and-a-half-minute opening drive. But Georgiaβs Gunner Stockton answered right back with a quick TD drive of his own.
Tennessee wasted no time getting back out in front, though. Aguilar threw a 72-yard touchdown pass to Chris Brazzell II to retake the lead.

Another quick scoring drive gave the Vols a 21-7 lead in the first quarter, but the Dawgs werenβt going to give up easily. Stockton threw a screen pass to Zachariah Branch, who broke free for a 36-yarder to cut into the lead. A late first-half Georgia field goal made it a four-point game in favor of the Vols at half.
Georgia came out of the locker room hungry, taking the lead on a 14 play, 7:41 scoring drive and adding a field goal to make it 27-21. Aguilar answered right back with a 56-yard touchdown pass to Brazzell as the two connected for the second time.

π Georgia Tech walks off No. 12 Clemson
No. 12 Clemson came to Atlanta looking to get right after escaping Troy in a hard-fought win at home last week, but Haynes King and the Yellow Jackets had other plans, as Georgia Tech takes down No. 12 Clemson, 24-21 with a walk-off field goal.
It was a back-and-forth game, with Clemson taking a 14-13 lead in the third quarter on a 73-yard TD from Bryant Wesco Jr.
